I am proud to announce my newest massage technique to help unwind your pain/sprain patterns and help restore your body’s natural symmetry.

Sidelying massage offers a unique perspective on bodywork, allowing me to address muscles that are often overlooked in traditional positions. Lying on your side provides a deeper level of access to the lateral and posterior aspects of the body, addressing muscle groups that may be tight, tender, or underused.

One of the primary benefits of sidelying massage is its ability to effectively target the lattissimus dorsi (lats), a large, flat muscle that spans from the armpit to the lower back. The lats play a crucial role in shoulder stability, posture, and upper body strength. In a sidelying position, I can apply deep tissue work to this area, releasing tension and improving mobility.

Another muscle group that greatly benefits from sidelying massage is the piriformis. This small, deep muscle in the buttocks can become tight and contribute to sciatica pain. By working on the piriformis in a sidelying position, I can alleviate discomfort and improve your hips range of motion.

The quadriceps and hamstrings are also more accessible in a sidelying position. These muscles are essential for lower body strength and flexibility. I can address trigger points, knots, or muscle imbalances in these areas, helping to improve overall leg health and resting length.

In addition to targeting specific muscle groups, sidelying massage can also be beneficial for individuals with postural issues or back pain. By focusing on muscle imbalances and releasing tension in the lateral and posterior aspects of the body, I can help to improve alignment and reduce restrictions, allowing you to move more freely.

Sidelying massage is a valuable technique that can provide relief for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. By targeting overlooked muscles and addressing postural imbalances, this type of massage can help your improve your overall health and well-being.
