About

I believe therapeutic massage is the best preventative medicine in the world.

After sustaining an injury to my back in the 90's, massage was the only thing that brought me relief. Therapeutic massage literally changed my life! So I decided to share this wonderful healing gift and made massage my career.

Professional Development

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 20+ years. I received my license in 1999 from the Alpha School of Massage in sunny Port St. Lucie, Florida. After graduation, I worked at a day spa where I was trained to work with the Yonka line of products and a Vichy Shower. My next job as an L.M.T. was working with a local chiropractor, where I helped people recover from accidents, injuries and surgeries. Finally I got my dream job-working on a cruise line in the Mediterranean! My tour had 13 ports-of-call between Madrid, Spain and Dubrovnik, Croatia and I am grateful to have had such a wealth of exposure to different cultures.

After Europe, I really wanted to get back home to my family in Connecticut, so I moved back to the East Coast. This is when I decided to open up my own practice and I have never looked back since. In 2017, my nephew approached me asking if I could formulate 2 massage oil blends for his new business-and we brought our Energy and Balance massage oils to market. I have since introduced my own Refresh massage oil, with essential oils of lavender, grapefruit and rosemary essential oils. I think it’s the best massage oil on the market and you will too!

Therapeutic Massage Treatments

My office is open 7 day’s a week-by appointment only. I have advanced degrees in several modalities that will help your whole body relax and make you feel great again.

My unique treatments include:

Active Isolated Stretching (AIS): The Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) method of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a type of athletic stretching that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups. In traditional stretching you may hold a position for as long as 60 seconds, which decreases blood flow, can cause lactic acid buildup, and puts unnecessary stress on your joints. In AIS, we use a gentle 2-second stretch that increases oxygen and nutrition to muscles and can improve your range of motion by up to 30% or more in just one session!

Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy is the science and art of using whole, distilled flower and plant essences to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. These sessions are custom crafted and personally designed for your well-being, allowing you to choose from a vast selection of oils for a personalized experience.

Deep Tissue Massage: This massage reduces pain in the body and helps get the knots and tension out. Designed for hard-working people who need real work, it targets trigger points, adhesions, scar tissue, injuries, and pain from accidents. Deep tissue massage does not need to hurt; we will find your level of comfort and work together to focus on the areas that need the most attention.

Indian Head Massage with Ayurvedic Essential Oils: A deeply relaxing treatment for your face, head, neck, and shoulders using soft and therapeutic techniques to open pores so your skin can glow. It features a freshly blended massage oil made just for your session using fractionated coconut oil with imported tamanu and rose hip seed oil to nourish and hydrate the skin. You choose your favorite essential oils to enhance the session, helping to improve blood circulation, relieve eye strain, promote clear thinking, and immediately release stress from the head and jaw. Performed fully clothed in comfortable clothing.

Mom-to-Be Massage (Pregnancy Massage): This deeply relaxing massage focuses entirely on addressing the special needs of moms-to-be, utilizing comforting pillows and gentle soft-tissue massage to take your cares away. Performed lying safely on your side so as not to put pressure on the baby, you can have as many pillows as you like to remain completely comfortable. To ensure absolute safety, no essential oils or scents of any kind are used—just pure, hydrating fractionated coconut oil. Recommended for the second and third trimesters.

Myofascial Release: A specifically focused series of stretches designed to help those with soft tissue problems. Fascia is the thin tissue surrounding every muscle in the body. When you are injured, your pain and tightness are often caused by contractions of your fascia. By finding the individual pain points, we help stretch and loosen the fascia to return you to a natural, pain-free state. This is a profoundly calming process that often lulls clients into a peaceful sleep.

Myoskeletal Alignment Technique (MAT): This deep tissue work requires you to be an active participant as we strive to achieve proper body alignment and balance. It incorporates muscle-balancing routines, deep breathing, and joint stretching to create a length-strength balance across your muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and joints. It utilizes a postural analysis to identify and correct common strain patterns before they become pain patterns, providing relief from chronic back and neck pain, headaches, scoliosis, and sciatica.

Swedish Massage: A gentle, flowing massage which promotes blood flow, circulation, deep breathing, and relaxation. This type of massage is great for reducing stress and helping you relax, allowing you to slip into a state of grace and return feeling wonderfully refreshed.

TMJ / Jaw Pain Relief: A specialized clinical treatment for temporomandibular disorders (TMD), jaw clicking, face tension, and stress-induced teeth grinding (bruxism). Rather than working only on the surface, this targeted approach addresses the complex soft tissues, fascia, and deep trigger points of the jaw, face, and neck. By releasing tight muscles like the masseter, temporalis, and pterygoids, it relieves radiating headaches, reduces painful clicking, realigns fluid tracking, and restores comfortable jaw movement.
